Storage of data at a remote location using magnetic and/or solid state storage, with access via the Internet.
Revise: Cloud Storage ConceptCloud storage means storing data at a remote location and accessing it via the Internet. Remote means that the storage is elsewhere, rather than inside or directly attached to the device you are using.
When explaining cloud storage, include both where the data is stored (a remote location) and how it is accessed (via the Internet).
Cloud storage still uses physical storage devices: magnetic storage, solid state storage, or both.
Make comparisons explicit. For example, cloud storage allows access from several devices, whereas a file stored only on one computer is available on that computer.
