Pithoi

At Mycenae, the Pithos Room is identified as a storeroom because large storage jars, or pithoi, were found sunk into its floor. The lower part of the House of Columns also contained storage magazines linked by corridors. These discoveries connect a room’s proposed function to physical evidence.
