Revise: PalacesDuring the Late Bronze Age, Mycenaean communities in Greece developed large palace complexes. The main period of palatial government was approximately 1400–1200 BC. Centres such as Mycenae, Tiryns and Pylos had their own rulers and administrations; they should not be imagined as parts of one securely established, unified Greek kingdom.
