Revise: GreeceAngry at losing, Hera creates a living, breathing image of Helen—a phantom—from the sky. Paris takes this likeness, believing it is the real woman. Meanwhile, Hermes carries the real Helen to the household of Proteus in Egypt, where her marriage to Menelaus can remain undefiled.
Keep the versions separate: Homer places Helen at Troy; in Euripides’ Helen, a phantom goes to Troy while the real Helen remains faithful in Egypt.
