NGOs can work locally, nationally or internationally. Some, such as Oxfam, respond to poverty and emergencies; others have more specialised purposes.
Link each method to its purpose: supplying clean water helps prevent disease, rather than simply being something an NGO does.
Use a named NGO and a specific action as evidence. Explain what that example shows about its response.
Government funding does not make an NGO a government department. The World Health Organization is a UN agency, not an NGO.
