Revise: Ceramics, Polymers, and CompositesA thermosetting polymer has strong covalent cross-links joining its chains into a network. These links prevent the chains from sliding past one another. Heating therefore does not make the polymer melt and flow; at sufficiently high temperatures it eventually decomposes instead.
