Revise: Anthropogenic Greenhouse Gas SourcesDuring peer review, independent specialists examine the methods, analysis and conclusions before publication. They may identify errors, demand clarification or recommend rejection. Peer review improves quality, but it is not a guarantee that a study is correct.

The evaluation of a new scientific claim or research paper by other scientists with relevant expertise before it is accepted for publication.
Revise: Peer reviewPeer review allows qualified scientists to examine the work and explain where its reasoning is strong or weak.
Distinguish peer review from reproduction: reviewers usually examine the reported methods, evidence and reasoning; they do not normally repeat every experiment themselves.
Do not claim that peer review proves a finding is correct. Explain that it improves quality and reliability but cannot guarantee that every error or bias is detected.
