Distinguish peer review from reproduction: reviewers usually examine the reported methods, evidence and reasoning; they do not normally repeat every experiment themselves.
Do not claim that peer review proves a finding is correct. Explain that it improves quality and reliability but cannot guarantee that every error or bias is detected.
