Revise: Hazard SymbolsThe flame over a circle indicates an oxidising substance. It may supply oxygen or otherwise support burning, making a fire worse. This is not the same as being flammable: the oxidising substance need not be the fuel.
Do not confuse flammable with oxidising: a flammable substance catches fire easily, whereas an oxidising substance can make a fire burn more fiercely.
