A reaction with oxygen that releases energy. Complete combustion of a hydrocarbon produces carbon dioxide and water.
Revise: Alkene ReactionsOne atom or group from the added molecule bonds to each of those two carbons, making one product that contains all the atoms from both reactants. This contrasts with combustion: addition changes the bonds at the functional group rather than breaking the molecule down into carbon oxides and water.
- Revise: Test for Hydrogen

- Revise: Test for Oxygen
