Revise: Corrosion and PreventionOne way to prevent corrosion is to put a barrier coating between a material and its surroundings. Grease and paint can keep air and water away from iron. Electroplating deposits a thin layer of another metal onto an object using electricity; the coating can act as a barrier too.
