Revise: History of the Atomic ModelIn the alpha particle scattering experiment, Geiger and Marsden directed positively charged alpha particles at a very thin piece of metal foil. A surrounding screen detected where the particles went. Scientists could then compare their paths with the paths predicted by the plum pudding model.
