Revise: Mitosis and the Cell CycleAfter copying, each chromosome consists of two identical sister chromatids joined together. Interphase comes before mitosis; it is not one of mitosis’s chromosome-separation stages.
When describing anaphase, say that sister chromatids separate and move to opposite ends of the cell.
