Revise: Protist DiseasesInsecticide-treated nets provide two forms of protection: the net blocks the mosquito and the insecticide can kill it. Indoor residual spraying places insecticide on walls and other indoor surfaces. Mosquitoes that rest on those surfaces may receive a lethal dose.
Link each control method to the stage it interrupts. Nets prevent bites; removing standing water reduces breeding; insecticides can kill larvae or adult mosquitoes.
Do not claim that mosquito nets or insecticides cure an infected person: they reduce transmission.
