Revise: Gene technology in medicineGene therapy aims to treat disease by placing or altering genetic material in selected cells. It therefore attempts to address an underlying genetic cause rather than only managing its effects.
Do not claim that gene therapy always cures a disorder. Its success depends on factors such as the gene involved, the target cells, delivery and how long the effect lasts.
