Revise: GM OrganismsThe Bt gene is expressed in the plant's cells, so the plant makes the Bt protein in its tissues. When a susceptible insect larva feeds on the crop, it ingests the protein. Particular Bt proteins act on particular target insects; they are not equally toxic to every organism.
