A sampling method that selects members at regular intervals from an ordered population list, usually after a random starting position.

Revise: Appropriate sampling techniquesSystematic sampling selects members at a fixed interval through a sampling frame.
For systematic sampling, state the interval and how the starting position is chosen randomly.
A random starting point does not make systematic sampling a simple random sample: later selections are fixed by the interval.
