Revise: China's One-Child PolicyChina's one-child policy is a particularly clear example because it placed a legal restriction on family size. It shows how decisions often regarded as private family matters can become matters of government policy.
Distinguish the government's reasons for changing the policy from proof of its success. An ageing population does not, by itself, show that the one-child policy was its only cause.
