Paper 2
Revise: Reasons for WarWar is organised armed conflict between nations or groups. Three important reasons for war are greed, self-defence and retaliation. These describe different motives: gaining something, protecting people, or responding to harm already done.
Distinguish a reason why war starts from a moral justification for fighting it: explaining a motive does not mean approving it.
Apply religious teachings to the particular reason for war rather than simply adding a quotation.
Avoid claiming that all Christians, all Muslims or all non-religious people agree about war.
