Paper 1
Revise: Covenant at SinaiJewish tradition connects Moses with the giving of the Torah, including the Ten Commandments. He was therefore both a leader who brought the community to Sinai and a teacher who explained how it should live afterwards.
Paper 3
The central commandments given by God to Moses at Mount Sinai, guiding worship and relationships with other people.
In an evaluation, distinguish ‘important’ from ‘most important’: the Ten Commandments are central, but the covenant involves the wider Torah too.
Keep the covenants distinct: Abraham is associated with promises of descendants, land and blessing, and circumcision; Moses is associated with Sinai, Torah and the Ten Commandments.
