Revise: Christianity in the Local CommunityThe fall in Christian identification and rise in ‘No religion’ are consistent with secularisation, the declining influence of religion. However, the figures do not prove that every person leaving the Christian category became atheist. Changes can reflect population factors, including migration and ageing, as well as changes in how people describe themselves.
