Revise: Gender EqualityA secular argument does not depend on religious authority. Humanists support gender equality through reason, fairness and human rights: all people matter, and gender alone is not a fair reason to deny someone an opportunity.

Non-religious; a secular institution does not depend on a sacred or divine bond.
Revise: Relationships in BuddhismBuddhism generally understands marriage as a secular, social institution: a legal contract between two people rather than a religious sacrament or a bond created by a god. Marriage can provide companionship, mutual support and a framework for family responsibilities, but it is not necessary for religious fulfilment.
When discussing secular authority, identify its basis, such as evidence, reason or human welfare, and explain how it challenges claims of divine authority.
