Revise: Life Cycle RitualsA ritual is an established religious action or ceremony that expresses belief. Jewish life-cycle rituals mark birth, religious adulthood, marriage and death. They connect changes in an individual’s life with the covenant: the binding relationship between God and the Jewish people.
Link each ritual to its significance: for example, Brit Milah expresses the covenant, rather than simply welcoming a baby.
In an evaluation, explain why different rituals might be important, use relevant Jewish teaching and reach a justified conclusion.
