Revise: Sacred ObjectsA pyx, a small container, carries consecrated hosts to sick people who cannot attend Mass, allowing them to receive Communion. A monstrance may be carried in an outdoor procession for the feast of Corpus Christi, which celebrates Christ’s body and blood. Portable sets of vessels also enable priests to celebrate Mass where a church's usual equipment is unavailable.
