Infanticide

The Gurus’ condemnation of infanticide, the killing of babies after birth, reinforces the importance of protecting vulnerable human life. Abortion and infanticide are nevertheless different acts: a condemnation of killing a baby after birth is not a direct scriptural ruling on every circumstance of abortion.
