Latin for 'image of God': the belief that every human being reflects God and has inherent dignity, including the capacity to know and love God freely.
Revise: CreationGenesis 1:27 teaches that humans are created 'in the image of God' and explicitly includes 'male and female'. This belief is called imago Dei. It does not mean that God has a human body.
