Paper 2

Christians can understand Peter’s behaviour as an example of human frailty: weakness that prevents someone from living up to their intentions. Peter’s closeness to Jesus does not make him immune to fear. A common interpretation is that he fears being arrested himself after seeing what has happened to Jesus.
