Revise: Miracles as Proof of GodGuru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism and its first Guru, directed people towards God rather than towards admiration of his own powers. Performing a miracle merely because someone demanded one could turn spiritual teaching into entertainment or a competition for authority.
Use Guru Granth Sahib 14 to explain why displaying powers could distract someone from remembering God; do not present its hypothetical powers as miracles Guru Nanak actually performed.
