Gethsemane

In Mark 14:32–52, Jesus goes with his disciples to Gethsemane after the Last Supper. The passage moves from his private struggle in prayer to his betrayal and arrest. It brings two responses to danger into sharp contrast: Jesus accepts what lies ahead, while his followers struggle to support him and eventually flee.
