Paper 1
Revise: Amrit SanskarBefore the ceremony, candidates bathe, wash their hair, cover their heads and wear all five Ks. The ceremony takes place in the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh scripture and living Guru.
Paper 3
The five articles of faith required of Khalsa Sikhs: kesh, kangha, kara, kachera and kirpan.
Revise: The Oneness of HumanityKhalsa Sikhs must wear the Five Ks.
Link each of the five Ks to its meaning and the behaviour it encourages, rather than just listing the items.
The turban is not one of the five Ks: kesh means uncut hair.
Distinguish initiation from appearance. Wearing some or all of the five Ks does not by itself make someone amritdhari.
