Revise: The TrinityMost Christians also believe in the Trinity, meaning that this one God exists as three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. ‘Holy Ghost’ is another name for the Holy Spirit.
For Matthew 3:13–17, identify all three Persons and explain their significance: Jesus is baptised, the Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father speaks from heaven.
Explain a quotation rather than simply adding it: ‘maker of heaven and earth’ supports belief in the Father as Creator.
When explaining significance, connect a belief to its influence: belief in the loving Father may encourage Christians to show love through charity.
