Revise: Concept of DhammaDhamma, also called Dharma, generally means the teachings of the Buddha. The Buddha was Siddhartha Gautama, who became enlightened: Buddhists believe he awakened to the truth about existence and the way to overcome suffering. His teachings share that understanding with others.
Explain Dhamma in its Buddhist context: it does not have exactly the same meaning in every religion that uses the word Dharma.
When explaining its importance, connect the teaching to its influence: Dhamma guides Buddhist practice and offers a refuge from suffering.
Distinguish the Three Refuges—Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha—from the Eightfold Path, which is part of the Dhamma.
