Revise: Revelation as Proof of GodCalling Jesus the culmination of revelation means that he is its highest and fullest point. Earlier revelation prepares for him, while his life, teaching, death and resurrection reveal God most completely. John 1:14 expresses this through the description of the Word becoming flesh: God’s self-communication takes the form of a human life.

Calling Jesus the culmination of revelation means that he is its fullest and definitive expression. Earlier revelation prepared people for him; in Jesus, God reveals himself personally. The Catechism describes Christ as the Father's “one, perfect and unsurpassable Word” (paragraph 65).
