A vision experienced while awake in which a figure, such as an angel, appears to have a physical form.
A corporeal vision involves seeing a figure that appears physically present while the person is awake. An imaginative vision is experienced inwardly, perhaps as awareness of a divine presence or a vivid dream carrying a message. Here, ‘imaginative’ describes how the experience occurs; it does not mean that the person deliberately invents it.
