Revise: Greatest CommandmentA scribe was an expert in Jewish religious law who taught and interpreted it. He asks Jesus which commandment is the most important: in other words, what should have the highest priority in a person’s religious life?
Keep the order clear: Jesus names love of God first and love of neighbour second, then says no commandment is greater than these.
Include the scribe’s response and Jesus’ judgement when explaining the whole passage, not just the two commandments.
