Revise: Potential Difference DefinitionVoltage and energy are closely connected, but they are not the same quantity. Two batteries can have the same voltage, meaning that each transfers the same energy per coulomb, while differing in the total amount of energy they can supply. Potential difference describes the energy transferred for each coulomb, rather than the total energy available.
