Revise: Fission of U-235In induced fission of U-235, the process begins when its nucleus absorbs a neutron.
Describe the complete sequence: a U-235 nucleus absorbs a neutron, becomes unstable, then splits into two daughter nuclei while emitting two or more neutrons and releasing energy.
Do not say that U-235 splits into two equal halves. The two daughter nuclei are smaller, but they need not have equal mass numbers.
