Revise: Significant Figures and Standard FormSignificant figures provide a consistent way to state the meaningful precision of a value.
Do not count zeros before the first non-zero digit as significant figures.
Include trailing zeros when they are needed to show the stated precision: for example, 0.050 has two significant figures.
