Revise: RotationThe resultant turning effect is their overall effect: if one direction’s turning effect is greater, the object tends to rotate that way. If the opposing turning effects balance, there is no resultant turning effect. In the next lesson, moments provide a way to calculate and compare the sizes of those effects.
