A measurable property written as a numerical value and a unit, such as a time of 12 s.
Revise: SI UnitsPhysics deals with measurable properties called physical quantities, such as mass, time and temperature. A measurement needs both a numerical value and a unit: “20” alone is incomplete, whereas 20 s is a time measured in seconds.
- Revise: Unit Conversion
A measurable property, such as time, length, temperature or force. Units can be converted only when they measure the same physical quantity.
- Revise: Scalar Quantities
A property that can be measured and expressed using a numerical value and, where appropriate, a unit.
