Revise: Penetration propertiesPenetration describes how readily that emission passes through matter. The three types behave differently: alpha is the least penetrating, beta is more penetrating, and gamma is the most penetrating.

How readily radiation passes through a material rather than being absorbed by it.
Give the order of penetration explicitly: gamma rays are most penetrating, then beta particles, then alpha particles.
For penetration, state what stops or reduces each radiation: paper for alpha, a few millimetres of aluminium or plastic for beta, and thick lead or concrete to reduce gamma.
