Revise: Stable OrbitsA stable circular orbit at a smaller radius has a greater orbital speed than one at a larger radius around the same body. Closer in, gravity pulls more strongly, so the object must travel faster to maintain that circular path. Further out, gravity is weaker and the speed for a stable circular orbit is lower.
