Revise: Nuclear Power EvaluationNuclear power stations do not burn fossil fuels while generating electricity, so electricity generation in the reactor does not release carbon dioxide. This is an important advantage where reducing the contribution of electricity generation to climate change is a priority. It is more precise to say that operational generation lacks carbon dioxide emissions than to claim that nuclear power has no environmental impact at all: mining fuel, constructing the station and eventually decommissioning it still require materials, transport and energy.
