Cosmic microwave background radiation (CMBR)

Astronomers detect this cosmic microwave background radiation, or CMBR, from every direction in space. It supports the idea that the universe was once much hotter and denser. Red shift and CMBR are different, complementary observations: one shows expansion, while the other provides evidence of the hot early state.
