Cooling curve

A cooling curve that falls more steeply shows a faster temperature drop. Under comparable conditions, a dull black covering would be expected to cool faster than a shiny metallic covering because it emits infrared more effectively. Compare temperature falls over the same time interval, rather than comparing readings taken at different times.
