Revise: Skeletal functionsSupport means bearing the body’s weight, keeping us upright and holding body parts in their correct positions. During running, the femur, or thigh bone, helps support the runner’s body weight. Without a supporting framework, the body could not maintain the positions needed to stand, run or jump.
