Quantitative data

Quantitative data is information expressed as numerical measurements or counts. A sprint time of 4.8 seconds or a total of 25 correctly completed sit-ups would be quantitative data.

Fitness test scores are quantitative data: numerical measurements or counts. An observer's description of technique is qualitative data. For example, a press-up count gives a numerical score, while noting that the performer did not fully extend their arms describes the quality of the movement and helps explain why repetitions were not counted.
