Use the correct wording: movement takes place in a plane and rotation occurs about an axis.
Do not pair planes and axes just because they share a name. Sagittal plane pairs with frontal axis; frontal plane pairs with sagittal axis.
When applying a pairing, identify the specific action, not just the sport. A gymnast can perform movements in different planes.
