Revise: Classification of skillsA complex skill requires greater concentration, decision-making or co-ordination and usually takes longer to master. A somersault is towards the complex end because the performer must co-ordinate take-off, rotation and landing accurately. Although the movement can be planned beforehand, its technical demands remain high.
Treat each continuum separately. A complex skill can be closed, and skills can lie between the endpoints.
