In Doctor Who: ‘An Unearthly Child’, flashbacks show Susan’s unusual behaviour in lessons, helping explain why her teachers are curious about her. The Black Widow trailer also includes events out of sequence: its purpose is to generate interest, not to tell the complete story from beginning to end.
